The number of people in Britain seized under the controversial "no-evidence-needed" European Arrest Warrant rose by more than 50 per cent last year, figures obtained by The Sunday Telegraph show.

Under the European Arrest Warrant, people can be held and extradited over a charge that is not even a crime in this country.

If you travel to any country in the EU your passport, once a guarantee of protection by the British Government, is now worthless.

UKIP is the only party actively helping people caught up by this corrupt EU law which was piloted through the EU Parliament by the Liberal Democrat MEP Graham Watson. William Dartmouth MEP and Gerard Batten MEP have both been actively involved in helping constituents caught up in this law which is fully supported by the Coaltion government (Conservatives, Liberal Democrats) and the Labour party

EU Tax - a Cover for 'Lesser' Concessions?

Over the past couple of weeks, journalists and commentators have been starting to look with real worry at proposals for a new EU-level tax. It’s worth stressing the word ‘new’ – the complex system of how countries ‘contribute’ to the EU budget already currently includes a quasi-contributory element through the VAT system. But the schemes being mooted would apply in parallel across all the countries, and for the first time there would be a very visible and very direct way of funding the EU. But when the EU’s revenues are being reviewed in a few months time, a common taxation system will only be one of the areas up for discussion and we must keep our eyes peeled for any other nasties that could fall under the radar as we campaign hard against an EU tax. The same is true with the British Rebate. The CAP countries are already targeting it as part of their negotiating tactics.  What we are witnessing is an attempt – and historically a successful one – by certain foreign governments on the one hand, and supporters of ever-closer union on the other, to rub away at the red lines so that the British taxpayer is spared total disaster in return for Whitehall consenting to ‘lesser’ defeats. We have been here before, time and time again, thanks to diplomats repeatedly failing the national interest and ministers signing up for short term cover. It's time to be aggressive and radical. British taxpayers pay too much to the EU, and deserve their money back.

Top Eurocrats get hugh payrise

Herman Van Rompuy, EU President is one of over 1000 eurocrats earning more than David Cameron

GREEDY Eurocrats are on course for three pay rises in the next 12 months, boosting their already generous salaries by more than five per cent, the Daily Express can reveal.

While European families are being called on to make huge sacrifices to bring their countries out of recession, they must also pay to make Brussels bureaucrats richer by thousands of pounds a year.

Last night UK Independence Party Euro MP Nigel Farage said: “Their arrogance is laid bare. All of us face pay cuts and loss of jobs while they get richer.  This proves that the only recession-proof job is working for the European Union.”

Art...or artillery

LABOUR whined it had no money for Our Boys - while squandering £272,000 on trendy "art" at the Defence Ministry.

More than £350million went on tarting up the MoD while soldiers bought their own boots and pleas for helicopters were snubbed.

Tory defence chief Dr Liam Fox will sell off the weird paintings to benefit Help For Heroes.

Again we see how appallingly Labour lied on defence. Bungling ministers starved troops of kit while pampering Whitehall warriors.

On defence, as in so many areas, Labour's legacy is shameful.
